Key Application Dates and Deadlines

The Department must receive your application no later than June 30, 2004, so that your application can be processed for 2003-04. However, you also need to be aware of your last day of enrollment for 2003-04. Your school must have your correct and complete application information by your last day of enrollment for you to be eligible to receive aid..

Note also that various state and school deadlines may also apply to you. These deadlines are often early in the calendar year 2003. Check with your school's financial aid office to make sure you are aware of-and are able to meet-all student financial aid deadlines. Therefore, you should apply as soon after January 1, 2003 as possible. If you apply before January 1, 2003, your application will not be processed. State deadlines are listed under "Check deadlines" on the FAFSA on the Web site and on the front of the paper FAFSA.
